Tax and Business Solutions' focus is on helping individuals and business owners with managerial accounting, financial reporting, and tax preparation and planning. Tax and Business Solutions is a referral-based practice centered on the clients' needs in tax preparation and planning, financial reporting, managerial accounting, and business consultation. The firm has an active business consulting practice with the emphasis on executive level support. The practice centers on business owners that need executive business advisory services with income and estate tax reduction and asset protection being important considerations.

Dave and Dan both have enjoyed successful careers which have spanned more than three decades providing access, protection, specialized investments and tax friendly business consulting.
David Dye
Founder & CEO
David Dye's experience drives a mission for results. Following careers as Senior Manager of Taxation at KPMG and Director of Tax Operations in Richmond, VA for Touche, Ross and Co., Dave realized: Life, tax, and business planning without the tools for implementation could only fail. Tax and Business Solutions was formed on this insight in 1988 to offer Client Planning and Implementation utilizing a multi-disciplined approach, tools for solutions, and after-tax results.
Dave has 35 years of experience in tax planning, emphasizing implementation and follow-up. Dave is a consultant/coach who advises individuals, business owners and employees on a wide range of tax-advantaged issues including: taxes, IRA and 401k plans, employee stock options, tax deferral, college financial aid, college savings plans, education savings accounts (ESA), retirement planning, estate planning, employee benefits and insurance.
Dave is a graduate of Valparaiso University with a BS in Business Administration. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), licensed insurance consultant, member of the Virginia State Chamber Tax Committee, and Chesterfield Chamber Government Relations Committee.
Dan L. Davies
Vice President
Dan L. Davies is a financial executive, consultant, and business manager recognized for diversified management, consulting, accounting, reporting and financial planning achievements.
Dan has over 30 years of experience. Since 1992 he has been an independent consultant advising small and medium sized businesses on management, tax planning, business analysis, acquisitions, new ventures and systems development. Clients include the advertising, non-profit, medical supply, equipment, manufacturing, construction, textile, convenience store, drug testing, computer peripheral, real estate investment trusts and inventory management industries.
His career includes significant experience in public accounting with Arthur Young & Company as a
CPA and sixteen years with General Foods Corporation.
Dan graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Business Administration in
Accounting.
